Sorry for the long break between blog posts. Our hostel in Amsterdam did not have free wifi. Lyle and I are now settled into our Paris hotel and I now have a good opportunity to share our Amsterdam experiences.

Dublin
Today was our first full (and very busy) day in Dublin, Ireland. It was also Lyle’s 23rd birthday. We woke up around 8am and started the day by taking a tour at Dublin Castle.
Dublin to Kilkenny to Dublin
We successfully met up with Lyle by accident. We were supposed to meet him at the B&B in Kilkenny. However, his flight to Dublin was delayed and he missed his train. We ended up running into him at the Dublin train station. We had a couple hours to kill before catching the train to Kilkenny so we walked around Dublin for a bit.
Killarney
It hasn’t rained for the past two days. It’s kind of weird. Tonight is our third and last night in Killarney and we are exhausted. We started our Killarney experience with a visit to Ross Castle.
Ring of Kerry
This morning we slept in slightly. I blame jetlag and the Irish weather. Either way we set off for Killarney around 10am and took our first stop along the coast.
Dingle Peninsula
Today we rented bikes and rode around the Dingle Peninsula. In all it was about 30 miles and 5.5 hours of bike riding. We stopped a lot though to sight-see.
Galway and the West Coast of Ireland
After travelling all day yesterday, we didn’t really have the energy to write any blog posts. We just checked into the hostel, walked down to the piers, and slept for about 10 hours. Today we did some grocery shopping before picking up our rental car and driving down the west coast of Ireland.
Scotland Part 3: Highlands and Loch Ness
Today we joined a guided tour of the Scottish highlands and Loch Ness. The day started early again because we were travelling pretty far north by bus.
Scotland Part 2: Edinburgh
Today was very busy. We started bright and early with a walk down the Royal Mile and a visit to the National Museum of Scotland.
Scotland Part 1: Rosslyn Chapel
Sorry for the delay in posting these, we have had very little internet access in Scotland.
Today we took a bus and train from Keswick (small town in Northern England) to Edinburgh, Scotland. We arrived in the late afternoon and visited the famous Rosslyn Chapel.
