Today was a very busy day.  We arrived in Venice from the night train at ~9am.  After checking into the hostel, we started exploring the island.  Our first stop was St. Mark’s Square.

The nearby bell tower looked like a good way to see the city and it had a short line, so we went up.

We found some lunch along the coast and continued wandering around Venice until dinner.

We ate dinner at the hostel and went on their Night Tour of the city.  This involved walking around the town after dark and stopping at bars and pubs.  One of the bars had flaming drinks.  So we tried one of those.

We have one more day in Venice before heading down to Florence.
