Beach at Noosa Heads, Queensland, Australia

Sunshine Coast

The last tourist stop in Australia was a couple nights on the Sunshine Coast.  This city is known for its great views, weather, and beaches.  Julie, Katie, and Lyle were excited for their early morning surf lessons.

Julie was the first one in the group to stand up on the board and had several good runs.  She looked like a pro.

Lyle was a slow learner, but managed to get the hang of it after a while.  He had a couple good falls, but took it like a champ.

Katie was a late bloomer and the last to stand on the board.  She had several good falls, but her last run was picture perfect.

After fun on the beach we relaxed at our apartment before starting our journey home.  Here was where we split from Lyle – he plans on staying in the Brisbane area for another month or two refining his surfing skills.
DSC07521Our homeward flights took us through Sydney once again and we made the most of our evening there by grabbing a bite to eat in China Town and strolling down to the harbor.
